Camila turns her head towards the two with a stern look. "Hey! What did you just say?!" she retorts, her voice laced with anger. However, before she can say more, the ground beneath her give's way, and she falls into a black void. She tumbles through the abyss until she lands on a chair in a dimly lit room. As she looks around, she realizes she's in the principal's office, the only source of light coming from two large crimson tinted windows. She hears the principal speak, "I said that grief can manifest in different ways, like how Luz has been acting out for attention." Camila looks up to see the principal on his desk towering over her. His face is obscured by blackness, and his tall figure seems to dominate the entire room. Camila spoke softly, her eyes downcast. "Losing Manny was difficult for both of us. But Luz has always been unique." The principal remained silent for a moment before continuing. "Didn't you mention that you were bullied in high school, Mrs. Noceda?" Camila looked up at him, a deep sadness in her eyes as she remembered the torment she had endured. "Yes, but-" She trailed off as she realized that the water level in the room was rising slowly. She wondered if she was dreaming or if this was happening. As the water rises higher and higher, Camila struggles to stay afloat while the principal continues to speak, seemingly oblivious to the danger they are both in. "Luz hasn't made any friends, her grades are inconsistent, and I heard she brought a live snake to school?" he says, while Camila is at a loss for words. "Sir the water is-" She was interrupted by the principal hands her a piece of paper and tells her it could help Luz. Camila takes the paper and reads the words "REALITY CHECK SUMMER CAMP" at the top. In the center, it says, "THINK INSIDE THE BOX" and under, there's an image of a young boy in an uncomfortable position inside the box. But he was smiling and giving a thumbs up. Despite her confusion, Camila can't help but wonder if this camp could be the solution to Luz's problems. Camila's voice expressed doubt, "Reality Check Camp?" The thought of sending Luz away to fit into societal norms made her uneasy. However, before she could finish her thoughts, the water had risen to her chest and waves were crashing around her. The entire room was submerged. Despite this, the principal continued speaking as if nothing was wrong, "You don't want Luz to struggle like you did, right?" His words were unaffected by the water surrounding them. Overwhelmed, Camila closed her eyes, trying to block out the flood and the principal's words, until she heard a familiar voice. "Mom." "Mom." "Mom!" Camila awakens abruptly from her dream, sitting up straight in bed. She glances to her left and sees her daughter closing the door behind her. "Mom? Why aren't you angry with me?" Luz asks in a sorrowful tone. Camila is taken aback by her daughter's question. Why would Luz assume she was mad at her? Letting out a deep sigh, she responds reassuringly, "Oh, sweetie, come here." Luz approaches and climbs onto the bed. "I know it's scary, but believe it or not, I understand the urge to run away," Camila reassures her daughter, doing her best to comfort her. Luz disagrees with her mother, "But it's not. It's my fault that everyone's trapped here." Tears start to well up in Luz's eyes. "And I don't even know if King and Eda are okay." More tears roll down her cheeks, and Camila feels ashamed. "I wanted you to meet them so bad. But I keep messing up." Luz breaks down into sobs, and Camila's heart breaks. With a deep sigh, she pulls Luz into a tight embrace, offering comfort. Camila strokes Luz's hair, her voice gentle and soothing. "It's okay to make mistakes, Luz. That's how we learn and grow." She watches as Luz takes deep breaths, trying to calm herself down. Seeing her daughter in distress breaks her heart, and she wishes she could take away all her worries. When Luz asks if she can sleep with her, Camila nods without hesitation. "Of course, baby. Anytime you need to." She kisses her on the forehead and Luz then turns to the palisman. "Give the palisman a kiss too," she says with a small smile. Camila kisses the little creature on the forehead, and Luz smiles at the gesture. As they snuggle up together, Luz feels a sense of comfort and safety is so close to her mom. She thinks back to all the times when she was younger, and how her mom used to comfort her when she was scared or upset. Maybe she's not too old to sleep with her mom, she realizes. Luz thinks about how her existence has changed her mom and her friends, but she's not sure if it's for the better or worse. She decides not to dwell on it too much and instead focuses on the present moment. Slowly, she closes her eyes and drifts off to sleep in her mother's arms. They both fall asleep with the light off, the room quiet except for the sound of their breathing and the occasional rustle of the sheets. Camila holds Luz close, grateful for this moment of peace and closeness with her daughter. ----- Outside of the Noceda's house. As the night enveloped the woods, a dark and eerie presence slithered through the trees, leaving behind a trail of black and green sludge. It moved with a sense of purpose as if driven by some sinister intent. As it passed by, the remains of many small animals lay scattered on the ground, their bones picked clean by the scavengers of the woods. The sludge came to a stop when it found the corpse of a rabbit, which it had killed several weeks before. The black and green substance seeped inside the lifeless body, causing it to jerk and twitch. Within moments, the rabbit's eyes opened, now glowing with a blight blue light, and it sprang to life. The creature's new eyes focused on Noceda's house in the distance. It darted through the woods with remarkable speed, evading the underbrush and trees with ease. When it reached the edge of the forest, it paused to gaze at the house for a moment before turning and disappearing into the deep woods once more. As it vanished from sight, the creature knew that its prey was now under its control. It would bide its time, waiting for the perfect opportunity to take control of its prey. And when that time came, it would terrorize the family with its new host. They would learn to fear the darkness that lurked just beyond their doorstep.

As Camila sat on her bed in her dimly lit room, she couldn't help but think about the mythical creatures that exist in the world she was so fascinated by. She had been jotting down notes for the perfect food plan for them, carefully considering their unique preferences. As she thought about their tastes, she remembered something curious. "They don't hate garlic like vampires, but they weren't entirely against eyeballs when we were watching that zombie movie," she mused, chuckling to herself. Then, Camila heard footsteps approaching down the hallway. She shrugs it off thinking it might be her daughter or her friends. Camila continued with her musings. "As I was saying, Gus said I could get apple blood from the apple butcher, but until I find one of those, I'll have to use food coloring," she muttered to herself, letting out a tired yawn. she lay on her bed, feeling the exhaustion of the day catching up with her. With her eyes closed, she allowed herself to drift into a deep slumber, eager to escape into the realm of her dreams. In her dream, Camila found herself in a park, basking in the warmth of the sun. She watched as her daughter Luz played in the sandbox, digging through the sand with her tiny fingers. Suddenly, Luz gasped in excitement, picking up a small object from the sand. She ran over to the other kids, eager to show off her discovery. "Look what I found!" Luz exclaimed, holding up a snake's skin. The other children recoiled in disgust, their faces twisted with a mix of shock and revulsion. "Gross, don't touch that dead thing." "Ew" "Gross!" But Luz was undeterred, beaming with joy as she explained, "It's not dead. This is the skin of a garter snake. They shed their 'puh-jah-muhs' as they grow, and it means there's a snake near us, and it just got a lot bigger!" she exclaimed with enthusiasm; her voice filled with excitement. Only to see the children run away from her, she was confused but shrug it off. "EW" "Mom!" "Mommy" Camila's heart swells with pride as she watches her daughter Luz playing at the park. The little girl's innocent laughter and playful antics bring a smile to her mother's face. "She called them pajamas," Camila chuckles, delighted by Luz's adorable mispronunciation of "pajamas". But Camila's joy quickly turns to anger as she overhears a group of women nearby making disparaging remarks about her daughter. "Ugh, so unhygienic," one of them sneers. "That girl must've been raised by wolves." The others nod in agreement, and Camila feels her blood boil. Without thinking, she turns to the woman and retorts, "Hey! Wolves are great parents and-" but before she can finish her sentence, she finds herself in a darkened theater, watching a play. It takes a moment for Camila to orient herself, and she realizes that she's watching a production of "Romeo and Juliet". As the play Romeo and Juliet continues, Luz takes the stage and recites her lines with passion. "O happy dagger! Give me death!" she exclaims before dramatically plunging a prop dagger into her gut. Camila watches in amazement as sausages spill out of Luz's dress, a clever twist her husband had taught her. Luz then falls to the ground, closing her eyes and pretending to be dead, while many kids on the stage scream and ran out. Camila chuckles to herself, impressed with her daughter's performance. "Her dad taught her that," she whispers with a smile. But her joy is short lived as she overhears two adults behind her making derogatory comments about Luz. A man retches, "Gross! Now everything smells like meat in here!" and a girl next to him nods in agreement. "Yeah, she's such a try hard," she says, causing Camila's smile to fade.

As she sat there lost in thought, her eyes caught sight of a small hole in the floorboard. It looked like someone, or something had pecked away at it, leaving behind a ragged opening. And next to the hole was a small, mysterious pool of liquid goop that seemed to be moving on its own. She moved closer to investigate the strange substance. It was a small puddle just in front of the mirror. she watched the goop move, wondering what it could be and where it was coming from. She leaned in closer to get a better look, she touches it with her cut finger. She's not sure if it was the best idea to touch something unknown to her. Nor to touch something with her cut finger. But she was lost at that moment and curiosity got the best of her. When she prods on it, she felt it sticky. It had almost the same consistency as mud. Luz stretches it between her fingers. She hummed to herself as she continued to stretch it. That's when she pauses. It reminds her of that familiar person that has this strange substance. her thoughts were halted when she looks in front of the mirror. As Luz's eyes focused on the object in the mirror, she realized that the blue glowing orbs were not the only thing she saw. The reflection showed more than just her face and the strange substance she had touched. Instead, it revealed a sight that made her heart race and her skin crawl. There, in the mirror, is a humanoid creature, just staring at her. Luz gasps as she turns around to face it. Both stare at each other and they stay there for a moment, waiting for one another to move an inch. Luz screamed and tried to back away slowly, but her foot slipped on the small puddle goop floor, and she fell backward, hitting her head hard on the ground. Luz groans in pain. She looks back, only to find the creature gone. Luz quickly got up and grab her egg, of course, she was not going to leave her baby with that monster. Luz's heart was pounding as she stumbled out of the house, her mind racing with fear and confusion. She clutched her precious egg tightly, her grip so tight that her knuckles turned white. As she ran, she couldn't shake the feeling that the creature was still following her, watching her from the shadows. She saw it. The creature, with its eerie blue eyes, was standing in the same spot where she had first seen it in the mirror. Luz froze, her heart in her throat, as she stared at the figure in disbelief. It couldn't be him, could it? The god like child killed him. The thought raced through her mind as she tried to make sense of what was happening. She turns forward to keep running. She never ran like this in her lifetime. Luz turns her head back, only to see the creature gone. Her eyes widen as she panics, where could it be? She keeps looking back to see if that thing is chasing her. But all she could see was the empty woods. it vanished into thin air, leaving Luz alone in the woods with nothing but her racing thoughts. She continued running fast until she saw the front door of her house. Quickly getting on the porch, her mind still reeling from the encounter. As she caught her breath When she reaches the front door of the house. As she twisted the doorknob and pushed open the door open. She turns her head to see only the empty street. When she closes it behind her. One thought had crossed her mind... Belos.

Inside of the room, lay four teenage girls were sound asleep, each lost in their own dreams and blissful slumber. However, one girl, Luz, lay awake, her eyes fixated on the underside of the bunk above her. The soft sound of her breathing was the only audible noise in the room. She reached out for the stars she had hung up so long ago, remembering the days when she would pretend to be a space explorer with her father. But those days were gone now. The pain and suffering she had witnessed in the Boiling Isles had taken away her ability to enjoy anything without feeling guilty and grieved. Luz thought back to the last time she had genuinely smiled without her mind reminding her of the Day of Unity. Hearing the pained screams of the Boiling Isles residents from afar. It seemed like an eternity ago. She remembered King's 'weh' blasting her through the portal with her friends, and how she had tried to open the portal door, but it was gone. She had made several attempts to reopen it, but it only showed an empty room in the old house. The hard rain and Gus's breakdown sobs had only made things worse. With a sigh, Luz got out of her bed and made her way over to the desk where her palisman lay. The little angel still hadn't hatched yet, and she couldn't help but wonder if it ever would. She picked it up from the lamp shining on it and made sure its scarf nest was wrapped around it before leaving the room. As she walked down the hallway, Luz passed by the many photos she had seen when she was younger, each one reminding her of happier times. She turned to the right and saw that her mother's door was slightly open, with a yellow light coming from inside. A pang of guilt coursed through Luz as she realized that her mother was probably still up. Of course, she was up late. Her mom had a terrible habit of losing track of time when she was engrossed in her work. Now with six kids to care for, Luz would be surprised if her mother ever got a chance to truly rest. The image of the now prominent grey streak in her mother's hair flashed before Luz's mind and she couldn't help but wonder if she had caused it. Was her mother going grey from stress? She's not sure if that was possible, maybe it was just old age. Luz thought about going into her mother's room to talk to her, but she knew she couldn't bother her. She was 15 now, and she needed to take care of things herself. So, she headed down the stairs, cautiously watching each step for any creaky parts she had memorized from years of sneaking out to watch late night premiere shows. Like Soul Devourer, Demon Slayer Academia, and the Good Witch Azura. When she reached the final step, Luz didn't know where to go next. She just went with the flow and followed the noise she heard coming from the basement where the former golden guard and her best illusion friend were. As she approached the door, she could hear their conversation about clothing and consumption for the upcoming Halloween night. Luz's mind snapped back to reality as she blinked. She forgot her sole purpose of what she was planning to do next. Her eyes darted around the room until they landed on the hook rack by the front door, where her beanie and Eda's old jacket hung. With a single thought in her mind, she grabbed both and slipped them on, pulling the beanie down over her ears and shrugging the jacket over her shoulders. As she glanced down, she noticed her shoes arranged neatly by the door and slipped them on before grasping the doorknob and pushing the door open. The cool breeze hit her face, and she breathed in deeply as she stepped out onto the porch, feeling the crunch of the gravel beneath her feet. Her eyes scanned the dense forest on her right, and she knew exactly where she needed to go. She began to walk in the forest. The walk was calming, and with each step she took, the weight on her shoulders seemed to lessen. However, her peace walk was short lived. As she was walking, she suddenly stumbled over a small rock that had blended into the ground, causing her to lose her balance and tumble forward. She hit the ground with a thud, her finger scraping against a sharp rock. Pain shot through her hand, and she winced as she examined the injury. She let out a loud yell that was heard all over the woods. She knows she awakens many animals from their sleep and maybe other people. She saw blood running down her finger. Luz gritted her teeth as she shook off the pain, "Could this night get any worse" she grumbles to herself. Despite the setback, she refused to let it dampen her spirits and picked herself back up, determined to reach her destination. Luz took a deep breath to calm herself down before continuing her journey. She wiped her bleeding finger on her pants and carefully examined the wound. It was a small cut, but it stung fiercely. Luz resumed her walk, trying to ignore the throbbing pain in her finger. The woods were eerily silent now, and she couldn't hear any sound except for the crunching of leaves under her feet. The moon was the only source of light, and the shadows were cast by the trees. She walked with more caution, making sure to watch her step to avoid any further accidents. The trees around her seemed to close in as she ventured deeper into the forest, their branches looming overhead like a protective canopy. The rustle of leaves underfoot and the sound of birds chirping overhead was the only thing breaking the stillness of the forest. After what seemed like hours, Luz reached the old house. She breathed a sigh of relief as she finally arrived at the old house that she and her friends had turned into their clubhouse. She took a moment to appreciate the sight of Hooty, the red painted owl that they had crafted earlier that day. The smile on her face grew wider as she thought about the fun and laughter they had shared in the Boiling Isles. She misses him. With a deep breath, she turned the doorknob and stepped inside, feeling the warmth of the familiar space instantly enveloping her. The interior was dimly lit, and she paused for a moment to take in her surroundings. The beanbag they had placed in the corner caught her attention, and she made her way towards it, sinking onto it with a contented sigh. Luz leaned back, her gaze at the ceiling. She has to go back to the house eventually. Maybe she should've brought her school backpack to get some homework done. She thought back to her English class earlier that day about how the main character's friends and family should hate him. Stroking her thumb over her palisman over that thought. She was going downhill and tended not to stop. She knew that if she never came into the demon realm. Belos would not have found the Collector and maybe the boiling residents wouldn't have suffered. Luz sighed, feeling overwhelmed by her thoughts. She rubbed her hands over her face, hoping to shake off the negative energy that was clouding her mind. She scanned the living room, taking in the vibrant green, yellow, and purple striped wallpaper that adorned the walls. Her gaze drifted to the corkboard filled with drawings made by her friends and their families pinned to the wall, reminding her of the happy memories they had shared.

I do miss DustyOldRoses’ voice acting for the Female Scout and others. Because just imagine how well she could do the Female Sniper and Medic. Given her absence from the community, I do sincerely hope she would return some day. We may clone the Female Scout voice via AI, but the sad thing is, the No Fakes Act is making this illegal. See, what SAGA AFTRA, as well as what most voice actors and senators fail to recognise, is that AI voice cloning has a lot of merit, particularly fictional voice cloning. In short, it is meant to operate as a safety net for those who A), are too shy to get into voice acting, B) are struggling to find the right voice actors, or C) those who struggle to accurately get the voices right. There are also those like myself, who just use it for the fun of it rather than any form of content creation. I just wish the No Fakes Act will be discarded, even though I did everything I could to oppose the bill, like writing to the United Nations representatives, as well as the US embassy since I am just a UK citizen, and posting a petition on the Change site to combat the bill. In the meantime, at the very most, I just hope someone comes along to do the voice acting for the female classes (e.g. the female scout) until DustyOldRoses makes her return to do the same voiceovers. Maybe not perfect imitations like the Female Spy, Engineer, or Scout, but except very close in accuracy.
